His research and production style is influenced by his love of traditional music from all over the world and he has perfected a unique blend of Balkan , Brazilian and Afroamerican sounds mixed up with contemporary electronic rhythms such as drum’n’bass, broken beat & break beat.

Giorgio Cencetti aka DJ Farrapo started his music career at the end of the 1980s as the keyboard player for a local band in Bologna where he is from. Touring all over Italy, he recorded two albums and several singles for independent labels including Irma Records. In the meantime he graduated at the university of Bologna with a dissertation about the history of the Hammond organ and Soul Jazz.
In the mid 90′s he started to dj and up until now he has played in hundreds of clubs from alternative venues to more mainstream circuits in clubs in Italy, Austria, Belgium, France and Switzerland.
Farrapo’s main “gig” is frequently spinning at exclusive corporate events for companies such as Ducati, Mazda, La Perla, Baileys and fashion events.
In 2005 he released his first single as a producer “Baiano Vem Baiano Vai” for the London label Afro Art records.
