L’Arca, international Magazine of Architecture, Design, and Visual Communication has opened up to ‘guest editors’. The publication will be dedicating 32 pages per month to a professional architect of their choice, offering them the freedom to write and illustrate their reflections and opinions on architecture, design and the built environment.

By offering the guest editors carte blanche the initiative aims to provide unadulterated insight on issues that most concern and inspire leading contemporary architects, today at the fore of pressing social and cultural challenges.

The September issue of L’Arca kicks-off with 32 pages dedicated to Mario Cucinella, Italian architect founder of Mario Cucinella Architects (MCA), an innovative, multidisciplinary architectural studio based in Bologna, Italy. MCA won the MIPIM 2009 award in the green category for their low cost, low impact housing project Casa 100K

On the cover Mario Cucinella holds a sign reading “ Mario Cucinella, Italian architect, socially useless”
