Automated Urban Bike Sharing System for Nice

Prompted by the results of a survey conducted by the Veolia Observatory of Urban lifestyles which ranked public transport as the number one concern for city dweller’s worldwide Veolia Transport developed ‘Veloway’ an automated bike sharing system. The system can be accessed by mobile telephone or a subsriber RFID card and has solar powered stations with multi use cable locks. In Nice, France on July 17 a fleet of 1,750 bicycles, which will be accessible to everyone from 175 distribution stations, with payment possible by either payment card or mobile phone.
