REALTY TRADE FAIR – showcasing the best of what Belgium has to offer.
Brussels 05-07 May 2009 @Tour & Taxis

From May 5th to 7th, the new trade fair REALTY will take place at Tour & Taxis, Brussels. It is the first time that all key players in the Belgian real estate market are brought together in one place. Exhibitors are developers, architects, banks, consultants, lawyers, asset managers, brokers, cities and other government agencies,… REALTY offers an overview of projects, products and services in industrial, logistic, commercial residential and office real estate.
Two main participating target groups were defined as visitors: on the one hand national and international investors, on the other the end users, meaning each company potentially looking for a new office building, outlet, warehouse,… Organizing company Artexis, market leader in the event and trade show industry in Belgium, has set up this initiative. It started negotiations in 2007 with dozens of key players in the real estate industry and federations in order to fine-tune the concept. REALTY was launched early 2008. Thanks to the support of many leading trade federations, such as BVS-UPSI, UEPC, RICS, ULI,… REALTY has generated large support, stimulating many companies and government agencies to book a stand at the fair.
Despite the economic crisis, it has become obvious that the Belgian real estate market is in need of its own event, showcasing the best of what Belgium has to offer. Artexis is currently setting up a Hosted Buyer Program: top foreign investors are invited to the fair and are offered a full service program, including a visit to the fair, complimentary accommodation, visits to new projects and a unique off-program. These visitors will offer a great added value to all exhibitors. During the fair, an extensive seminar program will deal with investment opportunities in Belgium and other hot real estate topics.
Furthermore, Artexis launched a patronage committee. Thus, ministers from different levels of government are able to support the event. So far, Didier Reynders, Vincent Van Quickenborne, Benoît Cerexhe, Patricia Ceysens and Guy Vanhengel have accepted the invitation.
